Eve Little Eve the best mother ever has seen her little daughter leave the nest and go to her new home. Eve is a beautiful little terrier and loves to head off out on her daily walks with all her sanctuary friends. She runs like a rabbit through the fields and loves to play with the others. Bobbi *Booked* Bobbi is a real lady... She's a 6 year old Spaniel mix with blue merle markings. I've never known a more timid and mannerly dog. She keeps to herself but is excellent with my 12 and 15 yr old girls, and very attached to them. When they come home form school she wiggles her bum so hard with excitement that she bangs off the walls and door frames, and dances on her back legs. It takes a couple of weeks for her to settle in, and once she does she comes out of her shell a bit. A pure dote- she would suit a quiet household, and is very definitely an indoor pet 24/7. Mossie Mossie is an elderly man, quite long in the tooth, actually he has no teeth. He is approx 12 years old, has been through the wars. He will always be a quieter dog and slightly timid but he has come on so so well in the last year since being rescued. Teko Teeko is a 8/9 month old Jack Russell Terrier. He is fabulous little dog. he is gentle with kids although can be a bit 'mouthy' when excited which he retained since puppyhood but its completely harmless. brilliant with with other dogs and just completely social in general. He can sit, stay, give paw, and would play fetch til the cows came home.he walks perfectly on a lead and is house trained. Teko will only be rehomed as an indoor dog ideally with a companion dog as he loves company. he will require a full enclosed garden to play in as he is fond of chasing tyres on tractors & cars! Kit Kat Kit Kat was with us as a young kitten with the broken shoulder. He spent 8 weeks confined in a small cage to try and get his shoulder to heal. He was fostered for a few weeks but has returned to us. It breaks my heart to see him still with us as all he wants is to be on your shoulder purring away. He is a pure delight, and all he wants is to be loved. He still has a little weakness in his walk as his shoulder did not heal 100%,so that makes him all the more adorable. Anna Anna is a beautiful 14h mare who is approx 6yrs old and is looking for an experienced home where she will continue to be given lots of gentle handling so she can learn to trust you. Mia Mia is the gentlest wee soul when out playing and running in the fields, loves her hugs and kisses and will play with children all day long and be as gentle as anything with them. Sadly when she returns to her kennel she can become quite agitated. Called kennel or food aggression whoever adopts her will have to understand this. Mia had been adopted by a wonderful man who worked through her problem and trained her to not be afraid around enclosed spaces and food. Very sadly her owner took ill and has since passed away. Lonely This gorgeous female cat is spayed, healthy & urgently needs a new home due to the passing of her owner. Kittens Kittens kittens kittens. As with all kittens they are a sheer joy to watch and cuddle, yet the cruelty of so many of these little angels being abandoned and left to die from cat flu and other ailments would break your heart. So so many cats out there having multitude of litters and the poor wee things not always making it. Bertie *Still available!* Bertie is a mixed breed- mum is a Patterdale Terrier and dad is unknown. He's a year old and is still a very exuberant and lovable puppy. He's very good with people, children, other dogs, cats, horses, and has never touched the ducks or chickens on the farm! The only reason he's being rehomed is because he chases sheep. Kittens Kittens, kittens, and more kittens. These 7 little angels were found tied to our sanctuary gate in a bag!! Barely able to survive, they are now hale and hearty and loving the warmth and food and love they have. We also have approx 27other stunners at the moment!!! Jack Lovely,nice,loyal.quiet,affectionate,caring & clever Jack Rusell called Jack looks for a place to live.We found him abandoned in a terrible state in Wexford.We took him home & since then he has been one more in the family.He's small & takes up bit room.He's able to stay in bed without saying a word as long as you ask him for.Unfortunatelly we have to leave Ireland.Saying bye to the esmerald Island due to this global recesion.We won't have our own place so we have to rent.No pets are allowed after begging for that.That's why we are looking for a house for Jack.Otherwise we would keep him withus.So now is the time for you to do something nice..Have a friend forever !!..Give Jack a Home !! Sid *Booked* This is Sid, a 9 month old Collie/Springer Spaniel cross. He ideally needs a fosterer or forever home as soon as possible, as due to health issues his elderly owners are no longer able to care for him. He is currently living in the garden shed, and has no issues, although he would benefit from someone who can help him build on his basic training. Missy Missy is a young Pointer/Collie cross, approx 2 years old, and has been fostered by one of our volunteers in Athlone since before Christmas. Missy can be very timid at times but will warm to anyone who takes the time to get to know her. She loves treats and going for walks and is the gentlest little soul you could ever meet. Minnie This wee lady was rescued in a poor state. Starved and very very thin, her coat dry and ragged and riddled with lice. However she is on the road to recovery now but gets so excited when she sees someone coming over to her. As she obviously had been denied love and attention, she doesn't really know what to do when she sees us coming. She is young and giddy but in the right home she will blossom. Adorable little pet. Shep Male. Neutered Black & White Collie X. 7 years. Friendly. Shep has been with us some time, but is a great little dog � he is obedient and affectionate and gets on with female dogs, not keen on males but not aggressive just steers clear. Georgey George is about 8 months old, neutered. He is still really quite a nervous and shy cat but adoption in a quiet one to one based home with preferably no dogs as he is a bit scared of dogs. He gets on great with other cats, but he rarely makes the first move he is that shy! Hedgy Hedgy also is still with us. This tiny man was in an awful state when he first came in to us and we honestly did not think he would make it. He had pneumonia and fluid around his heart, was struggling to breath and was so so weak. With a lot of medication, nutritious food, warmth love and care this wee man was off out the fields today running and keeping a very close eye on the ladies!!! He knows who he wants to hang with, and dare you give a treat to another dog, by God he will let you know. Cats Our many characters in the Heathlawn cattery can make you laugh, and cry at the same time. We have a huge selection of cats at the sanctuary, some have been with us for years, some only recently arrived. A day at the cattery is a serious day for relaxing and getting to know these characters!!! Probably the best thing to do is call out to us and come in and meet these adorables. Usher My name is Usher and I am a 1 year old staffie male. I am told I am a nice boy....I like to be silly and play a lot ....I am just a baby still. I am good with other dogs..... they can be lots of fun. I would love a family of my own so I can learn the ropes, have lots of fun and be loved to bits. As you can see I like to steal things to play with....even better if you chase me!! I sometimes do it with my bed. Kovi Kovi is a very sweet 9 month old Golden retriever cross. He is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Unfortunately Kovi's owners circumstances changed and have decided to re-home him through no fault of his own. Kovi is fully house trained and sleeps in a crate at night time. Kovi loves everyone, loves other dogs and is an all round great family dog. He has lived with children in the past aged 2 and 7. Kovi requires a family who will have him to live as part of the family in an indoor home and where he can continue on his training to becoming an amazing friend. Prince Prince is a male mixed breed dog, 3 years old. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, flea/worm treated & in good health - a little overweight! Originally Prince was taken in by members of the public as a 'stray', Unfortunately they are elderly, in very poor health and unable to give Prince a quality of life. He's tied or in a shed most of the time, not having exercise or companionship. A very lovable dog, affectionate, nice temperament, and we are anxious to find him a new home as soon as possible. Stout A gentle little man, with a face that looks up at you and melts your heart. A wee bit timid but once he gets to know you he is grand. Loves his walks, but isn't overly happy with being in a kennel and you cant blame him for that. He has the cutest little legs almost like a little corgi. Lucky Lucky is a male collie mix approx 12 months old. He was originally abandoned and taken in by a kind member of the public who cannot really continue to care for him. A timid, quite nervous dog who has obviously not had a good time, he walks well on a lead is obedient and good natured. Mr. Neeson Mr Neeson was found in East Clare. He had spent a number of days sleeping at the side of a busy country road. Mr. Neeson is a very tall saluki hound. The Saluki are gentle, friendly, even-tempered and extremely devoted and thats exactly what Mr. Neeson is. He will be an ideal companion for someone who loves long walks and lives a calm lifestyle. He really is a very gentle and extremely sensitive dog so wouldn't suit a home with younger children. 2 yrs old. He gets on well with other dogs. Indoors he is quiet and calm. Pixie *Booked* Pixie is a Terrier, about 2 years old. She's a 'busy' little girl- follows me to see what I'm up to, investigating every sound and movement, speed trotting and sniffing around, and always on the lookout for a cat to chase! Spotz Spotz is a delightful young man. He is with us for two years and wanders around the cattery watching everyone. He is a right gentleman, but seriously needs someone to love him and spend more time with him. He loves treats of red salmon and will come running when he sees us with the tin!!!
