She is adorable, but afraid due to her past, so would need someone who is experienced in dealing with dogs like this. Dollar and Dime are 2 of a litter of 6 who were dumped in a field and left to fend for themselves. These 2 boys were infested with worms and very thin. As you can see they are doing great. They will be ready for their forever homes in the next 2 weeks. We are not sure of the breed but they will be small to medium in size. As with all our puppies they will not be rehomed where they will be home alone all day as they are so young and children over 5 only.

She has been socialised to many dogs, and currently is being fostered in a house with 7 other dogs (3 danes, a saint, a RR, a staffy and a JRT), she loves the big dogs to cuddle to and loves my JRT and Staffy to play with. Due to a change in circumstances Bailey's owners sadly have to part with her: Bailey is an 8 year old mixed breed girl. Bailey needs to be in a home where there is someone around most of the time, where she can be indoors and where she has more space and maybe some older children to play with. She would love that. She is very placid and loves to be cuddled and played with. She just loves company! Bailey also enjoys the company of other dogs. She is also really good with children and very gentle. Bailey loves her home comforts and enjoys nothing more than being indoors, curled up asleep. She likes her walks but can be lazy if she is comfy and cosy. I would love to see Bailey go to a nice new home where she would get the love, attention and comfort that she deserves and regret very much that we cannot keep her ourselves. My name is Jude and I am a 9 month old lurcher male. My foster mum says I am a very affectionate, gentle soul....I do like to please. I am great with other dogs, but not good with small animals as they are fun to chase when they run! I LOVE people, including children and am at my happiest when I have the company of humans or other dogs. I like to play, hound style, and will chase and catch his soft toys when you throw them so I can shake them - I haven't quite figured out the whole ball thing yet though!I am still only a puppy really, so am hugely inquisitive but I am learning some basic manners....once there is a treat involved - hey you can't expect me to work for nothing! So far I have learned sit and stay, and have almost clinched giving the paw!. I am house trained and grand when left alone - not destructive in the house. I adopted these two friendly cats in 2008 � Tootsie and Sugar, who are a mother and son aged approx 7 and 9 years old. I gave birth to my daughter last year and unfortunately she was a sick baby and is prone to chest infections. I was advised to rehome my cats. Im heartbroken over this, but I have to put my daughter first. Unfortunately my aunt is terminally ill and I need to find a good home for Jinny. She has never lived with children and has only ever lived in a very quiet home. She is quite timid and makes herself scarce very quickly when there are visitors. She is not the most sociable of cats... keeps herself to herself.. certainly wouldn't be leaping up on your lap for a cuddle.. but she is a real sweatheart and would be perfect for someone living on theirown or for a couple. She has never lived with other animals, although my aunt did have another cat for a while.

Snowy's elderly owner died recently and he was cruelly turfed out of the sheltered accomodation he had shared with her, by the caretaker of the building!. A kind neighbour kept Snowy around the area by feeding him daily, but as he was not in a position to adopt Snowy himself, he contacted us for help. Poor Snowy was so traumatized by his eviction that he would not come near anyone! It took us two months to catch him, but he is now doing very well in foster care! Mia is the gentlest wee soul when out playing and running in the fields, loves her hugs and kisses and will play with children all day long and be as gentle as anything with them. Sadly when she returns to her kennel she can become quite agitated. Called kennel or food aggression whoever adopts her will have to understand this. Mia had been adopted by a wonderful man who worked through her problem and trained her to not be afraid around enclosed spaces and food. Very sadly her owner took ill and has since passed away.

Poppy is a 10 month old siberian husky/alaskan malamute cross bitch. She is a lovely girl, but is nervous of new people and situations and suffers from some seperation anxiety. She can also be scared of dogs that she doesn't know very well and trust. However, this fear does not manifest itself in aggression, instead, she hits the floor and cries. Due to the seperation anxiety, she would do better in a home where there is someone around for most of the day, and another dog or two for company would probably suit her, but isn't essential. Due to her breeding, she has a high prey drive, so cannot be homed where there is a cat or other small furries, and must have a secure, fully enclosed garden. She is spayed, vaccinated and will be treated for fleas and worms before being rehomed.

But since A Dogs Life took me from the pound and found me a lovely foster family things have been great. My foster mum says I am very affectionate, loyal, and gentle. I have to admit I just love cuddles. I can be a little shy at first but am generally great with people and other dogs and I am living with children so am good with them too and could go to a home with older children aged 7 +. I am a little strong on a normal lead so Anne the lovely training lady recommended a front lead harness which works well and will go with me to my new home. I am great off lead and have good recall. I love to play fetch and will bring back the ball every time and will even give it to you in exchange for a nice treat! Report from her fosterer: This is Leila. I found her wandering on a beach looking severely thin and exhausted. But its amazing what lots of food and a week of sleep can do for a dog. Leila is as easy-going as it gets. She is just so happy to have company and a warm bed. She loves to roll on her back, go for short or long walks and is learning to play with her foster brother Scooby. Leila is as deaf as a post but it doesnt hold her back at all. There is zero aggression in her. She had a tumour removed from her mouth last week and the vet says that she is healthy and ready to go to her new home. Leila is about 8 years old, so is well past chewing and going to the toilet in the house. Leila would make a great pet for a family, a single person or a couple. Kit Kat was with us as a young kitten with the broken shoulder. He spent 8 weeks confined in a small cage to try and get his shoulder to heal. He was fostered for a few weeks but has returned to us. It breaks my heart to see him still with us as all he wants is to be on your shoulder purring away. He is a pure delight, and all he wants is to be loved. He still has a little weakness in his walk as his shoulder did not heal 100%,so that makes him all the more adorable. He really needs a loving home.

Hedgy also is still with us. This tiny man was in an awful state when he first came in to us and we honestly did not think he would make it. He had pneumonia and fluid around his heart, was struggling to breath and was so so weak. With a lot of medication, nutritious food, warmth love and care this wee man was off out the fields today running and keeping a very close eye on the ladies!!! He knows who he wants to hang with, and dare you give a treat to another dog, by God he will let you know. He is an old man and really needs somewhere he can comfortably spend the last few years, warm, comfy and loved. And make sure he has treats to gobble!!!!

My Name is Noah. I am about 4-5 years old and a rottweiller male. When I came into the pound I had really really sore eyes....vets said it was one of the worst cases of entropian they had ever seen......but the girls at A Dogs Life arranged for me to have surgery and now my eyes are almost 100% better. My foster mum says I am a lovely quiet dog - I just recently found my bark! I am excellent with all other dogs and children, the poodle in my foster home bosses me around! I am house trained and good on lead. Although not completely deaf I am hearing impaired but this doesn't bother me at all really. I am probably a bit to strong for small children due to my sheer size. I like other dogs and would probably suit a home with another large dog to play with as I get on very well with the rottie I am in foster with. All in all I am a very pleasant big giant who likes to lounge around and is very easy going. Because of my poor hearing A Dogs Life are not looking for a rehoming fee for me......just a loving forever home, where I will have a secure place, have a buddy to play with, a nice comfy bed to sleep in at night and lots of love. He's very chilled out and placid but can be a rougue in trying to sneak upstairs or steal things off the counter-top.Lyndon will make a great family pet. Older children only as he is quite timid. Update - Lydon has come such a long way since he was first handed in. He is a gentle happy boy who loves his walks and loves to potter. He would make a fantastic pet and we cannot understand why he is waiting so long. Just look at that handsome regal face.

Peaches is a wonderful collie terrier cross. She is a year and a half old, house trained and great on the lead. Peaches is wonderful with children, dogs and cats. This delightful elderly man really, really needs to find a loving home. Slowly all his kennel mates are going to their new homes and he sits and watches and waits..and waits. Jack is such a gentleman, so polite and well behaved. Jack has a little heart problem so will need to be on cardiac medication for the rest of his life, but it doesn't cause him any problems, and he likes nothing better than to toddle off around the fields for his daily walks.
