Snowy Male, 6 years old. Terrier cross. Snowy is very friendly and good with children. He is a good house dog, just lazes around and doesn't make a nuisance of himself.But he has loads of energy for walks in the woods and runs on the beach. He loves chasing seagulls but he's never been able to catch one thankfully. He also loves chasing cats so a home with cats wouldn't be a good idea. Sally Buttons . Sally Buttons is a two year old jack russell x girl. She is adorable. She is a quiet girl who gets on well with other dogs. She loves to play. Update from her fosterer: Sally Buttons is a very quiet and gentle girl who loves her walks and a good belly rub. She's very easy going and when indoors likes to just chill on the sofa and watch what's going on around her. Sally Buttons is in foster with two other male dogs and they get on great and although she is shy she always greats visitors with a wag of her tail. Sally Buttons would make a great companion for an older person as she is great company and all she asks for in return is some TLC. Lucy Meet LUCY : she is a small 2 year old terrier with a fantastic temperment and lots of love to give ! she would make a super family pet and or additional pet/companion for another dog. ! She really is super cute and her picture doesn't do her any justice, She gets on great with other dogs and cats/and loves kittens ,she has been know to clean their ears and generally acting like a surrogate Mammy Cat! RAPHAEL 18 months old,neutered, Staffordshire bull terrier cross. Raphy is an attractive, chocolate brindle colour, very friendly, but would perhaps be better without children, as he can jump up and he is a strong dog. WinnieJackie 2 females, 6 years old are looking for a good home, together preferably in the midlands. Winnie, a smallish black labrador is very affectionate and good with children. Charlie Charlie is a ten year old terrier looking for the quiet life. He loves his little walks and then loves to snooze in his bed and watch the world go by. Charlie continues to do well in his foster home.He is approx 10 years old and is a mediuem sized terrier cross breed. Teko Teeko is a 8/9 month old Jack Russell Terrier. He is fabulous little dog. he is gentle with kids although can be a bit 'mouthy' when excited which he retained since puppyhood but its completely harmless. brilliant with with other dogs and just completely social in general. He can sit, stay, give paw, and would play fetch til the cows came home.he walks perfectly on a lead and is house trained. Teko will only be rehomed as an indoor dog ideally with a companion dog as he loves company. he will require a full enclosed garden to play in as he is fond of chasing tyres on tractors & cars! Buttons Buttons is probably best described as a long-legged terrier! She is about the size of a King Charles Spaniel. She is nearly one and a half years old. She is vaccinated, wormed, deflead, microchipped and spayed. She is house and lead trained and gets on well with other dogs, she is used to hens but not sure about cats. She loves to go in the car. She is good with children. We do not home dogs to families with children under 6yrs. A well fenced garden is essential and a committment to walk the dog every day is required. Kino Kino is a 9 year old terrier who has been through the mill but is ready for his forever home now. He is in foster care with two other dogs and a cat but he does chase the cat!! Gizmo Gizmo is a Terrier x approx 4-5 years old. He was relinquished by his owner due to a change in the family circumstances-despite this upheaval Gizmo has settled in great with me.He is a very placid dog-all he asks for is a few good cuddles, a warm bed and a nice walk everyday.He tends to pull on the lead at the start because he is so excited but after that he is perfect.He is good with other dogs but as he was the only dog in his previous home he may be better suited being re-homed as the only dog. Whiskey Whiskey is a sweet wiry terrier over a year old. He's been on crate rest for the last 6 week after fracturing his pelvis and breaking his leg when hit by a car. He has been a very patient boy at his fosterer's for all this time, and doesn't bark in his crate. He's starting to use his leg again but is only allowed short ten minute walks on a lead at the moment. He loves cuddles and being on your lap, he's a sucker for affection. He is vaccinated and will be neutered before rehoming. Update on Whiskey: Whiskey has come on so well, he is in foster with 4 other dogs and after a few initial teething problems all our getting on. Puppies Angels puppies were born around November 30th 2011. The little white and black pup is male and the brown/black are one male and one female. They are gorgeous pups, will be rough haired and small. They are nice relaxed playful pups very even threesome nobody is particularly bossy or nobody is particularly shy. Westies Westie Rescue Ireland is a voluntarily-run organisation dedicated to rescuing and rehoming West Highland White Terriers. Pammie This pretty little girl is Pammie. About the size of a sml Bichon She is just under a year old She was found just before Christmas completely emaciated. Her little nails were so long she could hardly walk Her coat was badly matted & filthy, her back legs were burnt from urine where she had obviously been kept in such a small area for very long periods. Initially when she arrived with us She was very shy & nervous. Thankfully after a few weeks of Good food, a warm spacious bed and ample amounts of TLC Pammie has bounced back and is like a different Dog. Buddy Buddy is a 7ish year old neutered male Westie. Buddy was in a terrible state when we got him from the pound, he was badly neglected and in quite a lot of pain. But all's well now, he's back to full health and looking super too! He's a friendly little chap, and gets on well with people and other dogs alike. He loves to be out in the garden pottering about, but also likes free access to the house, so we're looking for a home for him where he can have the best of both worlds! Bart Bart is an attractive 3-4 year old small male terrier, house trained and a proven rat catcher! Befriended and �adopted� by our own dog Bart also chases horses (and cats) - not helpful as we own a small riding school! Roxanne 13 months old Patterdale female (neutered), needs a terrier experienced home in the country preferably, with NO cats and older children only. She has been socialised to many dogs, and currently is being fostered in a house with 7 other dogs (3 danes, a saint, a RR, a staffy and a JRT), she loves the big dogs to cuddle to and loves my JRT and Staffy to play with. She goes for 2 hrs walk off lead everyday and is very obedient. She is EXTREMELY active and needs or a very active home with another dog or a home on a farm... Puppies These pups are miniature dachshund with a hint of jack russell. They were born on the 2nd of December and for some reason their mum started nibbling at their ears and tails when they were 4 days old. Coady Coby is a golden oldie at about 12 years of age. He has been in foster recovering from an RTA where his rear, left hind leg was injured. He is only barely using it at the moment and is not really weight bearing as yet!! He should get some use back into it but he gets around just aswell on 3 legs and it doesn't slow him down one bit. He is fully house trained and excellent with other dogs, (his foster pal is also a golden oldie and male), cats, ducks, chickens and the guinea pig. He is slightly intimidated by larger dogs until he gets to know them and knows that they are not going to hurt him. He LOVES the fire and has turned into a total lap dog. 'Coby will need an EXTREMELY SECURE GARDEN which is either walled or very flat faced. He was caught security camera trying to make his great escape by climbing up and out over large/high metal gates. He was like a spider, they couldn't believe it. He's excellent on the lead and would walk for miles but he has a very strange quirk when he is walking. Coby would fit in anywhere and is a sweet little man. As long as you keep an eye out for his 'Houdini' routine. He is a little character and would love a home to live out his retirement years. Bawnie Bawnie is a bull terrier approx 6-8 months. She was first found at the side of the road after being hit by a care and she was in a sorry state . Thin, hungry and badly injured back leg. Thanks to the great veterinary treatment received from Liam, one of our vets in Midleton, and the wonderful care given by her fosterer Caroline, Bawnie's life has been totally transformed . She has put on weight and is in great condition now. She has had to endure a steel frame in her back leg and crate rest for the last 4 weeks but has recovered remarkably from her ordeal. Her leg has healed beautifully and she is now able to put weight on it. She will be in crate rest for another two weeks and then the frame will be removed and she will be allowed for short walks under careful supervision for another few weeks. We are confident she will make a complete recovery. Bawnie is a very pretty girl and so friendly and affectionate. Despite the frame in her leg she is mad to go and will be full of energy. She is house trained but will need a lot of work on the lead as she is not used to it at all. For this reason Bawnie will need to go to a home with experience of dogs as she will need firm handling as she gets used to her new found freedom.She is very excitable so would be best suited to a home with older children. Hedgy Hedgy also is still with us. This tiny man was in an awful state when he first came in to us and we honestly did not think he would make it. He had pneumonia and fluid around his heart, was struggling to breath and was so so weak. With a lot of medication, nutritious food, warmth love and care this wee man was off out the fields today running and keeping a very close eye on the ladies!!! He knows who he wants to hang with, and dare you give a treat to another dog, by God he will let you know. Mylo Mylo is a little ball of fluff and is a typical bouncy playful puppy. He is very independent and loves everybody he meets including other dogs no matter how big or small. He spent the weekend playing with a boxer and wasn�t put off by the size difference, in fact he gave as good as he got. Belle Belle is a gorgeous bull breed girl. She's 4 years old, houstrained and not destructive when left alone indoors. Belle has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She's good with other dogs but not with cats. Belle needs some obedience work to improve her loose leash walking as she tends to pull but this can be easily managed with a front leading harness. Belle would love to go to an active home where she got lots of exercise. Belle is not suitable for children under 10 due to her strenght (she's fantastic with people but could get over excited and knock young children down). Spud Spud is much smaller than his brother milo who is also featured here and not quite as brave. He gets nervous when he meets new dogs for the first time. Spud insists on being picked up but watches ever so closely from afar. In fact he is extremely alert and although tiny, he is well capable of letting everybody know he is around with a bark or 2. Just like his brother, Spud is proving to be a very smart little guy. Kino A cuddly 10 year old medium sized terrier, currently in foster, who is full of character and looks just like a teddy bear. Kino loves his walks, even though he is on medication for arthritis. He enjoys his food, being brushed and tickled, and provides lots of kisses in return. Due to a troubled background of being bullied by a group of small dogs, Kino prefers not to socialise with small dogs on his walks but is as good as gold with smaller dogs when he gets to know and trust them in his own surroundings. Jack This delightful elderly man really, really needs to find a loving home. Slowly all his kennel mates are going to their new homes and he sits and watches and waits..and waits. Jack is such a gentleman, so polite and well behaved. Jack has a little heart problem so will need to be on cardiac medication for the rest of his life, but it doesn't cause him any problems, and he likes nothing better than to toddle off around the fields for his daily walks.
