ABOUT DOLLY

Dolly is the dog sitting on the sofa in the IrishAnimals.ie logo. I've had her since a pup - she was left in the Wicklow mountains and had wandered onto a golf club course following the food scent of the club restaurant. The course manager planned "to get rid of her", she was brought to me...she was skin and bones, covered in mange... and couldn't keep food down. So it was more than a few visits to the vet those first couple of weeks. I got her stabilised and on the road to recovery. She's been with me going on thirteen years now ... She's probably a Lurcher/Lab/Staffie cross.. I'll never know, but what I do know is my Dolly is a 100% pure dote.

December 2009 update: Sadly, I lost Dolly to old age recently. She was 14 years young. It was sudden, and she was in good health up to then. Dolly - you'll always be in my heart.
