Mayo spca are a voluntary organisation based in Mayo,
dedicated to preventing cruelty to all animals. We have successfully
prosecuted offenders for cruelty to cats and dogs, we also work with the
Dept. of Agriculture regarding cruelty to farm animals.
We are part funded by the Dept. of Agriculture by
10,000 euro per year, which is much appreciated. However, vets bills
alone for 2007 were 35,000 euro and we urgently need volunteers to
fundraise, walk dogs, clean, feed etc., help with kittens/cats.
