DOG & CAT WELFARE & RESCUE GROUPS NAME: Homeward Bound REGION: Clare, Galway area PHONES: 086 1013065 (2pm - 8pm only please) WEBSITE: www.homewardbound.ie INFO: My aim is to prevent the abandonment of dogs, thereby sparing the dog a potentially fatal week in the dogpound, or sparing overworked rescue groups another addition to their workload. My hope is to encourage owners to rehome their pet rather than surrender him to the pound or a shelter, and also to encourage people to adopt a dog rather than feeding the demand for purposefully bred dogs by purchasing one. Homing Service: I deal with dogs no longer able to stay in their current home, and with people who want to offer their home to a dog that needs one. I take dogs from the pound, and/or from owners who surrender their dog to me, foster them, assess them, vaccinate, worm/flea and neuter them, and then home them.
