Look at this one! You would think she was the most confident one in town! Brigheen is very sweet and very shy but has come on in leaps and bounds since she has been with us. She cowers a lot at first as if she had been abused. But once she has got a bit of attention and cuddling she will be all over you. She is very frightened of the lead still but is improving. Brigheen has been spayed and is after her first vaccine. She loves other male dogs and will lick them to bits once she has gained their trust. Brigheen will require a loving owner that will give her the TLC that she needs and a secure garden for exercise and fun. (A home check will be carried out before being rehomed).

Jessy is one year old, she is a black and white collie setter cross. She is petit in size and just loves people and dogs although she can be a bit bossy. She would make a great companion dog for a male or as a one dog household as long as someone is at home part of the day. Peek & Boo are brothers, they are only 15 weeks old and are looking for new homes. They are due to be neutered next week and have started their vaccinations. Both are lovely boys, Peek has black silky coat and Boo is a shy tabby boy, but we know that will change very quickly. They will make lovely family pets. Ella is a very pretty 3 year old staffie. Ella adores people and loves attention. She can get quite excitable and bouncy so would not suit younger children but children over 12 would be fine as she does love to play. Ella gets quite stressed when left alone so would need to be rehomed where someone is home a lot of the day. She is a pleasure on the lead and will wear a harness/muzzle without a problem. Jimbo is an elderly gentleman who is looking for a retirement home where he will have a warm soft cozy bed to sleep in every night. He is just the nicest dog who has come into the kennels for a long time. He gets on well with everyone and is clean and quiet each night. As I said already, Jimbo is a gentleman. Approx 4yrs old. Poor Hafti came in with very sore gums and teeth. It is obvious that his diet did nothing to help his oral hygiene. We are treating his mouth with a wash and will have the problem sorted and make him more comfortable before he has his appointment with a vet to have the teeth cleaned as soon as possible. He is a gentleman and would love to be a couch potatoe, where at last, he won`t have to always run the track to please his owner. All our dogs are vaccinated, neutered/spayed, flea & worm treated. Meg is a three year old ex racing greyhound. She's a shy quiet gentle girl. We feel Meg hasn't had much socialisation until she came to the sanctuary. However she is learning fast at the sanctuary and we hope in no time Meg will be a happy girl. Meg's coat is in poor condition, she has very little hair in her rear quarters. Meg is not a very big girl and she will in time be a little beauty. Meg gets on very well with her kennel mates. We feel that once Meg gets into a home situation and surrounded by people who love her she will come in leaps and bounds. She really is a special girl who deserves to be loved and happy. Penny is a lovely little mixed breed dog, she is about eighteen months old and she is Beagle-sized. We think she may have some Beagle in her. She is a very sweet and placid girl who gets along well with other dogs. Penny needs a very patient owner who will help her to over come her tail chasing obsession, an owner who is home all day and will help Penny to stop this habit. Malla is about 12 months old still very much a big baby. He is a very handsome Lurcher. He is a very sweet and gentle dog, pals around with Rascal the little puppy only quarter his size. Please remember that this breed of dog is a very independent, high spirited intelligent and can be very alert little watchdogs, they can be very affectionate towards their families and they are very busy dogs and will require regular grooming. Cool Dude is a 3 yr old male ex racing greyhound. His coat is white and black and he is a beautiful looking dog. Cool Dude came to us from the racing kennels so he is adjusting to life at the sanctuary. We must say that he loves being pampered and adores human company. He can be a bit giddy, but he is learning lots and experiencing so many new exciting things so this is understandable. We feel once he gets used to his new life and knows its here to stay he will relax and become a real Cool Dude. He is energetic and loves his walks and runs of lead. Cindy is a 3 yr old greyhound. She has a lovely brindle coat and is a small exceptionally pretty girl. We have a special appeal for Cindy. She is a very nervous timid girl. We feel that Cindy has had very little contact with people. She is not used to things that most dogs take for granted. However she is being given lots of attention at the sanctuary and we hope that soon she will begin to feel more confident. Cindy is a very sweet gentle girl. Gorgeous Guinness is just eighteen months old. He has a condition called Eosinophilic Granuloma which his new owner will need to keep an eye on. Guinness has it in his mouth but has been to our vet for treatment and had two,long-acting steroid injections.Our vet tells us that the condition can reoccur so we are appealling for for a special home for Guinness with a caring owner who will bring him to the vet if he has another bout.Guinness is neutered but he cannot start his vaccinations until April due to long-acting steroid injection. Keva is a 6 mth old female German Shepherd. She was found wandering with her sister Kezzie who is also featured here. She looks much bigger in this picture than she actually is but as you can see she is an absolute stunner. Keva and her sister are currently in foster and coming on in leaps and bounds. Keva is very good on the lead and off lead is very good on recall. She will grow into a big dog so needs someone who will have the time to train her properly and give her plenty of exercise. She is full of confidence and responds well to instructions. She mixes well with other dogs. Keva is up to date on her vaccinations.

Jack is a three year old male greyhound. He is a big beautiful boy. Jack, before he came to us was confined for long periods in his kennels, so initially he was very giddy. However Jack is getting used to his new life at the sanctuary and is beginning to relax. Jack is a funny boy, he always has a big smile on his face. He loves people and adores being out and about with our volunteers. Jack gets on fine with his kennel mates. While Jack has a lot yet to learn about life away from the racing track, he is a smart boy and eager to learn. We know in the right home Jack will make a wonderful pet. Kezzie, a beauty, is a six month old German Shepherd found wandering with her brother Keva (also featured here). Kezzie is not as sure of herself as her brother is. She spooks very easily at the moment and will need a patient owner to make her more confident. But her personlity is showing more every day. Her fosterer says 'She makes some mad gurgly screamy noises when I get home from work � as if she is singing in joy � bizarre but funny'. Kezzie is great on the lead but will need plenty of time, patience and tlc. She is very intelligent and will learn quickly. Kezzie is up to date on her vaccinations.

Marge is a three year old ex racing greyhound. She's a very gentle quiet girl. Marge when she initially came to the sanctuary was a little unsure of herself. However she is learning very fast how to relax and have fun. Marge is enjoying finding out all about cuddles, she really is so very sweet. She is very well behaved and gets on fine with her kennel mates. Marge has some condition to gain but when she does she will be a black beauty. Marge is going to adore family life and she is the kind of girl that you want to spoil as she is so appreciative of every little thing done for her. Spaghetti is only 8 weeks old and was found dumped beside a stud farm, lucky for her an employee of the farm found her before any harm came to her. She looks like a boxer cross and we expect her to be medium to large in size. Little Dunno is a prime example of why we insist on a totally enclosed back garden. This 4 month old little boy was found on the street after being hit by a car. No owner was found and no id on the dog ment that LAW had to take him to the vet where his leg, which had a very nasty wound, had to be dressed every day for the last 4 weeks. He is making a great recovery and we think he will be a lot happier when he finds a nice safe home with responsible people who will take good care of him. Pip and Rossie as far as we can gather are mother and son. Pip is the white terrier and is approx 5 years old. Rossie is about 2 years of age. Both were seen being dumped on a beach along with rubbish!!! It was a very cold evening but thankfully a kind passer by tipped us off. Both are good with other dogs and cats. They are a little shy until they know they can trust you. Pip is good on the lead but Rossie is still quite nervous of the lead. It will take a little patience. Both are excellent dogs and we cannot say enough good things about them. As Pip is so devoted to her son Rossie we want to make sure these two are homed together. Meet the Girls! Bibi n Dolly, two little six to seven month old terriers, presumably sisters. They are very affectionate, loving and happy little dogs. Bibi is the livlier of the two and the more confident. Dolly is more easy going and relaxed. They will be spayed before going to their new home and will also be vaccinated. It would be nice if they could be homed together or else go to a home separately where there is another dog. They are in the process of being house-trained and are also good on the lead. (A home check will be carried out before rehoming)

Tango is very lively and bouncy and a very friendly little dog. He absolutely loves his cuddles and will climb into your lap and stay there for ages being cuddled. He loves company, but is quite ok on his own, he is fine with other dogs. Would be best suited to an adult home only as he is a bit nervous of being overly handled. Aldi is a wonderful blue greyhound who came into our care in August '09. He was found wandering in a supermarket carpark. His coat was in an awful state with mange. No more! With proper care and lots of TLC, he's a dog transformed! Aldi is one of our favourite dogs. He is so gentle and sweet, and loves dogs and humans alike. He is going to be an extra-special pet for some lucky person. All our dogs are vaccinated, neutered/spayed, flea and worm treated. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of 120 euro.A home check is required to make sure you have a totally enclosed garden

Three month old Brady is a lovely cuddly mixed breed boy who will be medium to large in size when fully grown. He had a wonderful shaggy coat and spends his days playing with his buddy, Vinchy. You will need to be home all day to adopt Brady as puppies cannot be left alone for long periods. All our dogs are vaccinated, neutered/spayed, flea and worm treated. is a purebred german shepherd and is 4 years old. She is a lively girl and enjoys lots of exercise. She loves going for spins and is very inquisite on what is happening around her. She has just been spayed and vaccinated. She gets on well with other dogs. Elsa is very bright and learns easily and will make some lucky person a fabulous friend and companion. Elsa will require a spacious fenced in garden and someone to give her the attention and time she deserves (A homecheck will be carried out before rehoming.)

Ben is a 3 and a half year old terrier x. Ben is being rehomed through no fault of his own. He is neutered, vaccinated and house trained. He loves attention and will make a great little companion. Update: We cannot say enough good things about Ben who is currently in foster. Not a bad bone in his body and gets on great with other dogs. Potters around happily and loves attention. Needs work on the lead and is very food orientated so would be easy to train. In foster he ignores the hens and the cat!! He is a dream companion dog.

Petal is a three year old ex racing greyhound. She has a lovely white coat with black markings. Petal is a lively very sociable girl. She loves meeting people and adores being fussed over. Petal is very energetic and really enjoys her runs in the fields. She loves her walks on the lead and is very well behaved. Petal gets on great with her kennel mates. She is a really nice girl and we feel Petal will settle into family life very quickly. She will be spayed and a home check will be required before Petal goes to her new home.

Molly is a six year greyhound. She is a ex brood bitch. Molly is a very quiet retiring girl. She likes to take life easy now, so we are looking for a quiet relaxed home for her. Molly would do really well with an other older dog for company, or would do equally well as an only dog. She doesn't like to play too much, so would not suit a home with younger playful dogs. Molly loves spending time with people and we know once she gets settled in her new home, she will make a wonderful companion. Molly is a very special girl and we hope we find her a very special retirement home as she deserves it. Molly will be spayed and a homecheck will be required before she goes to her new home.

Benji is a 5 year old ShitZu/Terrier mix breed. He is an indoor dog that loves nothing more than lounging around the house. Benji has mild arthritis that was diagnosed last year and takes a pain killer some days to help with the stiffness in his joints. He is a solitary dog and used to being an only dog. Hence, Benji does not get on with other dogs and therefore it is a must that he is homed as an only pet. Benji will need firm handling while walking as he gets distracted by other dogs and barks. Benji is a gorgeous looking dog who will do well in a home where he is the only dog and with someone who has time to work on his walks and let him know that he is not the head of the pack. Benji is also neutered and micro chipped.

Rusty is a german/shorthaired mix and is three years old. He is a bright playful fellow and loves everyone, ie. cats, dogs, people, etc. He loves playing 'fetch' and loves playing with other dogs. He has been neutered and is also house-trained. Rusty had been rehomed but came back due to no fault of his own. So this time hopefully for Rusty it will be his forever home. Rusty is a beautiful, intelligent dog and would fit well in with any family. (a home check will be carried out before rehoming).
