Echo is a two year old female greyhound. She failed to make the grade at the greyhound trials so has come to us for rehoming. We are delighted to have Echo as we know she will adore being a family pet, and who ever adopts her will just adore her. Echo is very small is size, if you are looking for a small greyhound then look no further than Echo. She is very fine boned and has very delicate features. Echo has a beautiful fawn coat and is just so so pretty. Echo is a happy carefree girl, she loves life. She adores being with people and is full of affection for everyone she meets. Echo loves her walks, runs in the fields games etc. She gets on very well with her kennel mates. All in all Echo is just a lovely girl and will make a very special family pet. Heron is a two year old male ex racing greyhound. This boy is just a beauty in every sense of the word. Heron is so handsome and has the nicest nature one could ever hope for in a dog. He has a very soft almost fluffy light brindle coat. Heron expresses himself with his ears, when he sees you or something interesting, his ears fall forward. His sparkling eyes just light up his face. Heron loves people and will lick you to bits. He is a strong lively boy who loves his walks and runs in the field. Heron gets on great with the other dogs at the sanctuary. Heron is intelligent, inquisitive and one of the biggest charmers we have met in a while. We think Heron will absolutely adore family life and will make a fantastic family pet. Heron is neutered, in great physical condition and vaccinated. A home check will be required before Heron goes to his new home.

Angie is a two year old greyhound. She didn't make the grade at the greyhound trials so she wasn't good enough to race. Angie is a charachter if there was ever a charachter. When our volunteer collected Angie from the kennels she hopped into the front seat sat beside her like her co pilot. She sat quietly looking at everyone and everything she passed taking it all it. Angie is a big exceedingly pretty girl. Her coat is mainly white and she has this very cute black mark over her right eye, this moves up and down as her expression changes. Angies coat was poor and very dirty when she came to us but once she's in good shape shes going to be a beauty. Angie gets on well with the other dogs. Angie is a free spirit and loves to run in the fields. She is always happy and has an amazing warm smile We are so glad she didn't make the grade as a racer as the regime would have killed her great spirit. Angie just loves live and savours every moment. We can only imagine how much she will adore being part of a family. She will be so excited meeting people going places having toys etc. Everything will be new to her, she is going to be so so happy. Angie will be a great pet and will bring so much joy and laughter to her new family. Angie will be spayed and a homecheck will be required before she goes to her new home

Shelly is a two year old female greyhound. She didn't make the grade at the greyhound trials so was no longer wanted by her owner. Shelly is just a lovely girl, she has such a happy disposition always has a smile on her face. Shelly has a soft brindle coat and shes in good physical shape. She loves all the fuss and attention she is getting at the sanctuary. Her eyes really like up when she sees the volunteers coming to take her for a walk. She loves to be out and about. Shelly gets on fine with her kennel mates and doesn't give an ounce of trouble. Shelly will just love family life as she will thrilled with all the company, going places, meeting people etc. Shes a really nice dog and we look forward to the day she will be settled and part of a family. Carrie is an eighteen month old German Shepherd Cross. She is an absolutely beautiful looking girl. Carrie has a great personality, she is very friendly and outgoing. Carrie, having the German Shepherd genes is incredibly smart. She is also an active girl with lots of energy. We feel Carrie would be a great dog at agility. She's eager to please and quick to learn. Carrie loves outdoor activities so would make a perfect pet for an active family. Carrie will be spayed before she goes to her new home and a homecheck will be necessary.

Lily is a magnificent two year old greyhound. Lily didn't make the grade as a racer so she is now with us looking for a home. Lily is so pretty and has gorgeous markings. She has that noble look about her. One side of her is all white, the other side is blue and white. Her face has blue and white markings. Lily is missing a toe in her right back foot but this does't hinder her mobility in the least. Lily has a lovely nature, she is a friendly happy confident girl. Dougal is a three year old male rough coated terrier. He's a small little boy with huge spirit. Dougal adores people and is such a charmer. He is so happy to see you and just loves spending time with you. Dougal likes the female dogs at the sanctuary but is not to fond of the males. He is a busy little boy and loves to be on the go and involved in everything that is happening. Being a terrier he is full of his own importance.Dougal is so inquisitive and knows things have happened before we do. He loves being out and about and is very good on the lead. Dorcha is a two year old female greyhound. She failed her racing trials so her owner no longer wanted her. Dorcha is not as confident as her kennel mates. She is very shy and reserved and at times appears withdrawn and very sad. Dorcha doesn't push herself foward for attention like the other dogs, she tends to stand her with her head down. Dorcha doesn't run up to you or play like the others and seems have very little interest in what is happening around her. We feel that she had very little socialisation until she came to us. Dorcha doesn't run or hide from you and if you kneel down beside her and rub her she adores it, she starts to fall asleep and if you stop she will nudge your hand to rub her again. Dorcha has little confidence and is very unsure of herself so we'd love to find her a home where her new owner will spend lots of time with her helping her confidence to grow. Dorcha is so gentle and sweet and we know underneath all that shyness there is a great little girl bursting to come out. Dorcha is a small sized greyhound, she has a lovely black coat and four white socks which make her look so cute.We'd love to see Dorcha settled in her new home so that she can learn to live again and be happy. Hi! My name is Leon. I`m really glad you`ve stopped to read my description, because when most people see my photo here, they just whizz on past to the next dog. I think it`s because I`m a greyhound. The girls here at the Sanctuary tell me I`m a lovely, handsome boy, but most people don`t think a black dog like me is as lovable as other dogs. But you know, I`ve got a big, gentle heart and I`m such a placid, easy-going boy. I love cuddles and any little bit of attention. I`ve had a hard life up to now training to be a racing machine and I was too slow so my owner didn`t want me anymore. I think I deserve a loving home as much as any other dog and if you`d only come and see me, I think you`d be pleasantly surprised to find that everything I`ve written about myself here is true! I know it will take a very long time to find me a home because most people won`t give me a chance. It breaks the girls` hearts to see me still here week after week when all my doggy friends here at the sanctuary find homes much more quickly. Charlie is a handsome, purebred, 3 year old German Shepherd with a great temperment. He is highly intelligent, good on the lead, excellent on recall, house trained and is gentle with kids. He is a darling dog who loves companionship. He was left to his own devices and was alone alot of the time and so began to wander. He would suit someone who is home a lot of the day as he craves company. He just wants to be part of a family. Charlie would also be a good companion to a female dog. Mandy is a three year old female staffordshire bull terrier. Mandy is a sweet heart, she is so gentle quiet and well behaved. Mandy was found wandering the streets in a poor physical condition. She was thin, her skin was poor and we felt she was bred and bred from. However Mandys physical condition is improving and she is blossoming into a very pretty girl. Mandy is one of the most infectionate dogs in the kennels, she just adores being with people. She is so happy, she has very little demands. Mandy always has a big smile on her face and she has so much love to give. Mandy would be best homed as an only dog as she likes to have all the attention. When she is out and about Mary's tail never stops wagging. She loves to go around checking everything that is happening, she's very nosey. We have a special appeal for Nina a gorgeous friendly and happy go lucky girl. This picture does her no justice really as she is a very pretty girl. Nina is a 6 month old lab x. Nina was found holding up a hind leg and could not use it. She has recently been operated on as the vet discovered she had 2 old breaks in her hind leg that were never treated. She must have been in some pain. Thankfully the operation proved a success and Nina is starting to run around on all fours again. Nina is a darling who has been through a lot in her young life. She is a typical playful energetic lab. We will update the web with a new picture soon. Nina would suit an active family and will need to be indoors at night. A homecheck will be necessary.

Fern is four years old and is a terrier cross. Shes a medium sized dog with a white and brown coat and is so so pretty. Fern loves people and her eyes light up when you stop to say hello to her. She loves her exercise and is so happy when she is out playing in the sanctuary garden. Fern is a fit active girl so would love a home where she will get lots of walks, outdoor activities, toys to play with etc. She is so sweet and affectionate, always happy. Max is an eighteen month old Pommeranian Jack Russell cross. He is a tiny little boy with a striking red coat and the most appealing little face. Max is so lovable he would spend all day sitting on your lap being cuddled. Max loves attention and will never leave your side once you are talking to him. He loves being a lap dog and is great company. We think Max would make a great companion for somebody for somebody retired from work or somebody living alone. This is Toby and he is an 18mth old Old English Sheepdog. He is looking for a home where patience and love know no bounds, he will not be homed to a home who have no experience of long haired breeds due to him needing to learn about the benefits of regular brushing and coat maintenance in a gentle non invasive manner. Toby gets on well with other dogs and children, he travels well in a car and just loves human company. Toby also needs a bit of training to teach him to walk nicely on a lead and also to stop him from jumping on people when he is excited. As with all our dogs, Toby, has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Saffi is an extremely sweet 4 mth old lurcher x puppy. We think there may be some Saluki in her. She has the prettiest face. Saffi was found as a stray in an emaciated state but is thankfully a much healthier puppy now . She is a happy gentle girl and will make a wonderful pet. Samuel is a two year old male greyhound. He is an ex racer who didn't make the grade. Samuel has such a kind and gentle nature. He snuggles right up to you for his cuddles. He has so much love to give, and when you are with him you just want to put your arms around him. Samuel is very well behaved, he is not in the least pushy. It is an absolute pleasure to be with Samuel as he just appreciates everything you do for him. He has a very calm relaxed personality and we cannot say enough nice things about this boy. Yasmine is a three year old ex racing greyhound. She is a very very nice girl. Yasmine is quiet and gentle and exceptionally affectionate. She's very well behaved in the kennels and gets on great with her kennel mates. Yasmine is in good physical shape and is very pretty. She loves going off with our volunteers for her walks. Yasmine is so well behaved on the lead and everyone she meets she wags her tail affectionately at them. Yasmin loves when its time to play off lead. She runs around with her friends but if she sees anyone she is right up to them giving lots of kisses. We just think Yasmin is great and is going to adore family life. She will be spayed and a home check will be required before Yasmin goes to her new home

Romeo is a six year old male rough coated lurcher. Romeo has looks to die for and he knows it. He has the beautiful white rough coat with some black on his face and a little white beard. He is not a very big dog by any means. Romeo is a lovable rogue, he adores people and is an expert at turning on the charm. As his name suggests Romeo adores the ladies, they are the no one love in his life. He is not as fond of the male dogs at the sanctuary, can be grumpy with them but we are hoping this will change when hes neutered. Next to the ladies the next love of his life is his bed, probably exhausted from trying to woo the ladies! Romeo is such an adorable boy, he is a real charachter and we think that he is just going to adore family life. Whoever adopts Romeo will have lots of stories to tell about his antics. Romeo will be neutered and a homecheck will be required before he goes to his new home.

Meet Diego. He is just a sweetheart. He is a beautiful pomeranian and collie x. He is 10 months old. This poor little fella lived all alone on the streets for weeks. He was so lost and scared. It was heartbreaking to see. He is now a very friendly and affectionate little fella. Its like he appreciates everything you give him. And he wants to give you lots of love and attention back!! He is great with other dogs. He is looking for a loving home where he will get all the love he deserves and have a new start and see what life should really be like. Bugsy is a three year old ex racing greyhound. He affectionately got his name from his ears, they stick right up like bugs bunny. However for his photo shoot Bugsy wouldn't show of his ears, but we hope to catch him again when he's not looking. Bugsy is a beautiful looking boy, very nicely marked. However his teeth aren't looking the best at the moment, he will need a full dental at the veterinary clinic. Bugsy can be timid but in a bashful way when he meets you first. Once he knows you, you are his friend for life and this means being licked to death everytime he sees you. Bugsy can be very babylike but in a lovely way, he will do anything for a cuddle. When Bugsy is pottering around the garden he is so happy, we think he starting to relax and is getting used to life away from the racing kennels. We do think once Bugsy gets into a home he will come on in leaps and bounds. He really is a sweetheart and is going to make a lovely pet. Bugsy will be neutered and a home check will be required before he goes to his new home.

Jilly is a very cute nine week old jack russell x puppy. Jilly was found wandering in a very poor condition. Her coat was bad and she was far too thin. She even needed a stay at the vets. But she is safe now in foster and her experience has not affected her one bit. She is happy and lively. A typical playful puppy. She will be vaccinated before rehoming and a house check will be necessary.

Benny is a two year old Jack Russell Terrier. Benny is a lovely little boy, he has a very nice nature. Benny is your typical jack russell adores being with people, loves his walks and just has to be in the middle of whatever might be happening. Sadly Benny isn't coping to well in the sanctuary, he is very sad when its time to go back in his kennel. We'd love to find him a home where he can be part of a family as thats what he longs for. Before Benny goes to his new home a homecheck will be required.

Meet Mocha, when this poor boy came to us he was scared of everything. He would run and hide at the slightest movement. He could not look us in the eye. He was a broken dog. Mocha is with us a couple of weeks and has turned into the most loving and happy dog since the first day he arrived. He greets every one with a big smiley face and is delighted to see a lead in your hand to go for a walk. He bounds out of the kennel at play time and is getting to know all the other dogs here. Mocha is a dog who really deserves a very happy home where he will be taken out for walks every day and be part of the family by night. We feel this boy was shut out in a garden and never socialised but all that has changed. Dogs are very social creatures and crave both canine and human company. They should never be banished to a yard and ignored. They are clever and intelligent and are mans best friend. All our dogs are vaccinated, neutered/spayed, flea and worm treated. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of €100. A home check is required to make sure you have a totally enclosed garden. Leona is a one year old whippet lurcher cross. She's whippet size, this may be hard to see from the photo but she really is small. Leona is incredibly pretty and has a very playful mischievious nature. She has some condition to gain and she has a scar on the left side of the crown of her head. We do not think she was well looked after until now, however, despite this, she is full of the joys of spring and is an outgoing confident little girl. Leona loves everyone and bounces up to you for hugs and kisses. She loves to play and would play all day if she could. Shes fit and agile and very energetic. Leona gets on great with her kennel mates and adores when its time to go playing in the fields with them. Leona would make a perfect companion for another young dog who also loves to play. We cannot say enough nice things about Leona, she will make a fabulous pet. Leona will be neutered and a homecheck will be required before she goes to her new home.

Look at this handsome fella. Meet Nemo. He is a 3 year old male shih tzu x. He is very friendly and outgoing. He likes people. Erin is a two year old greyhound. She didn't make the grade at the greyhound trials so has come to us for rehoming. Erin is a really nice girl, she has a lovely personality. Erin is very sociable and just loves being around people. She was quiet when she came to the sanctuary but is starting to come out of her shell now. Erin is very bright and inquisitive and loves watching everything that is happening. Lots of things seem new to her at the moment but she is really enjoying her new life away from the racing kennels. She loves going for walks with our volunteers. Erin is very well behaved and doesn't cause an ounce of trouble at the sanctuary. She gets on very well with her kennel mates. Erin is very pretty and has gorgeous eyes and always looks as if she is checking everyone and everything out. We really like Erin and we feel she will love family life. Erin will be spayed and a homecheck will be carried out before she goes to her new home.

I am LITTLE MISS and only about 7 Weeks Old, if that. I am a little shy but am getting used to humans everyday. Stacey is a three year old ex racing greyhound. Shes a very pretty girl, Stacey has a quiet coat with some grey markings on her face. Stacey is not long with us and at the moment she is very shy and timid. She is a bit unsure of life outside the racing kennels. She is a sweetheart and tends to stand back and look around taking everything in. We feel she hasn't spend much time with people. Stacey isn't used to being shown affection. However we know that in time, with lots of tlc and attention from us she will come around. She enjoys her walks on the lead and trots off happily. Stacey is so well behaved and gets on very well with her kennel mates. We hope very soon Stacey will learn how to live again and enjoy life. Molly is a one year old German Shorthaired Pointer. She is a striking looking girl. Molly has a very affectionate nature and is loved at the sanctuary. She's got bundles of energy and unending staminia, so will need a home where she will lots of exercise and attention. Molly adores her toys and is at her happiest when its playtime. Wilson is an eighteen month old male labrador cross (medium sized dog). He's a very handsome boy and we love him at the sanctuary. Wilson is so affectionate and adores people. He has a real happy go lucky disposition. He loves to play and is never far from his beloved football. He's just ace at soccer! Wilson has a bouncy lovable nature and will make a great pet. Betty is an elderly lady of approx 10 or 11 years of age. Dont let her age fool you as she is still quite sprightly and thoroughly enjoys her little walks. Betty is a yorkie x and is a sweetheart. Her foster mum tells us she is the easiest dog she has ever had. She potters about after her and loves her bed. She has a great appetite and is just the perfect little companion. She would suit a retired person or someone at home during the day.

Sid a 3 year old female Staffie is looking for a new home. She is a great girl who loves the company of people and always has a great big smile on her face. Sids owners are relunctantly looking for a new home for her as their busy work schedule doesn't allow them enough quality time with her. Tin Tin has spent his whole life in the back garden of a house, tied up all day, every day. He had no idea life could be so much fun since he arrived at the sanctuary. Tin Tin has never been socialised and thought any obedience. We are giving him direction and taking him for long walks. Tin Tin has a lovely blue/grey and white coat. He will need an owner who will help him enjoy life and put some time into training him. Heidi is an Old English Sheepdog Cross puppy. She's around twelve weeks old. Heidi is so pretty,she has the cutest little face imaginable.Heidi doesn't have the typical oes colouring, she has a cream coat with some tan markings. Heidi is very sweet and being a young pup, playful and very mischievious. She runs up to everone she meets and gives them kisses and cuddles. Even though Heidi is just twelve weeks old, she is already a big girl. When fully grown Heidi will be a big dog so even though she is so cute and cuddly now she will grow very fast. Her beautiful coat will need lots of attention so her new owners will have to give lots of attention to heidis coat and have her professionally groomed regulary. For the right family, Heidi is going to be an beautiful family pet. As part of our rehoming agreement Molly will be neutered when she is six months old.
