LUCY Lucy is a 9 year old female Westie. She's a lovely, steady, gentle little lady, and she has the typical determined Westie nature! Lucy knows what she likes (her bed in a certain place, 3 walks a day!) and she can be very persistent until she gets what she wants! Lucy is active, housetrained, great with kids and other dogs, great in the car and good on her lead. Lucy came into Westie Rescue in appalling condition, with bad skin and various health problems related to neglect. However, all is under control now and she's in fine fettle. Lucy needs a home with a calm, gentle owner who knows and loves that stubborn Westie temperament, and who likes to walk! Eva Eva is a tiny 7-8 month old terrier girl. She was cruelly thrown from a car so is understandably shaken. She is shy and submissive at the moment and loves nothing ore than to curl up on your lap so would suit a quiet, older household. Cairn Terrier Rescue Cairn Terrier Rescue has dogs available for adoption. We get dogs of all ages and for all reasons but we rarely have puppies . All homes are home checked in advance of adoption. Pippa This is Pippa. She had previously been posted with Olli as needing to be rehomed with him, but we've decided to let them go their separate ways. Pippa is a 3 year old, female, spayed Westie. She is a lovely, playful, gentle little lady. She is just about housetrained but may have the odd accident until she has had further lessons in her new home. She's good on her lead, good with other dogs out on walks, adores chasing a ball, good in the car, and is generally a good little thing. She does not do cats. Olli This is Olli, who had previously been posted as needing a home with Pippa, but we've decided to let them go their separate ways. Olli has just gone 5 years of age, he's neutered, vaccinated etc. He is a very cuddly, sweet-natured little fella who really enjoys squishing up beside you to watch TV. He's good on his lead, good with other dogs, and good in the car. Although he hasn't lived with children he'll be fine with visiting kids. He is pretty much housetrained but as he was living outside he can forget himself in the house, so will need a little bit more tuition in his new home. Like most Westies he's not a cat fan! Woody Woody is a 7 year old neutered male Westie. He is a grand little fella who will make a very loyal companion. He's great with children, but as always we won't rehome him where there are kids under 10 living full-time. Woody is housetrained, great in the car, good on his lead, and sociable with other dogs. He does NOT do cats. Woody is quietly affectionate and easy to handle. Woody would like a quiet home, not in a built-up area. He is a man's dog, we think, he always gravitates towards men and does what he's told for men! I think Woody will make a great companion for a man who lives in a rural area and who loves the cheeky terrier temperament. Westies Westie Rescue Ireland is a voluntarily-run organisation dedicated to rescuing and rehoming West Highland White Terriers. We always carry out home visits, and all of our Westies are assessed, neutered and vaccinated prior to rehoming. Please note, we do NOT rehome Westies to families with children under 10 years old: Westies tend not to have the patience or tolerance a dog needs to have to live with small kids full time. Gerry Gerry is a very loving male cat, neutered, 2 and a half years old, would be suited to a single cat house hold needs to be the only cat in the house and possibly the only animal. Has been kept up to date with all his jabs and is very healthy. He had an accident when he was 6 months old and has a small part of his tale mid section which is missing it's fur as a result but no other problems. We are having to find him a new home as he is bullying our other cats very badly and it is not fair on them or on him hence why we recommend that he be homed in a house on his own. Shadow and Tigger Shadow and Tigger were recently rescued from the street after their mother was killed by a car. They were infested with lice and ringworm and were in a sorry state, but after veterinary attention, they are well on the road to recovery! They are now in a kind foster home and are nervous and shy but are gaining confidence daily. They need a kind, experienced person to adopt them and give them a warm, loving home where they will feel safe and secure. If you can offer these little sweeties a chance, please contact us. Cats The North DSPCA often has lovely young (and older) adult cats available for adoption. Please consider an adult cat- while kittens are adorable, they grow quickly and will be adults before you know it! If you are out working or are retired, it may be more suitable for you to have an adult cat, who will be content to laze around the house and will be just as affectionate and happy to see you on your return home, as a kitten will! Adult cats are always in dire need of homes....please give one a chance! Also bear in mind that any cat you adopt will need to be kept indoors for a minimun of six weeks until he/she becomes totally familiar with new surroundings. Uncle Nacho and 2 kittens I am looking for a home for the adult cat at the right and the 2 kittens at the left, the fellow in the middle has already been homed. The kitten in the very back is male and already neutered, the one in front of him is a female. Both now between 4-5 months. Nacho is a neutered male and kind of adopted the kittens when I got them. All 3 litter trained, they will probably be a bit nervous for the first few days, but they are so lovely and affectionate once they know you. Nacho was a stray and the kittens were born to a stray mother, but fed by people in their bed garden. Tilly Tilly is a 8 year old Chihuahua x Terrier. She is a timid little woman after being abandoned on the back of a bus. She is fine with one to one attention but gets nervous if there are a few people giving her attention. She is fine with other dogs but wouldnt suit a home with young kids due to her nervousness.
